Kota Factory series review

What it seemed to be dull and boring, turned out to be good one. Actually, it falls between good and great. Kota Factory is about, the students who comes to Kota, leaving their enjoyable teenage at home and get into the coaching classes to get trained to enter into IIT. The story line seem like a mundane things that IIT aspirants do, but the way they portrayed is interesting. May be the first episode feel like less interesting but it surely makes you interesting to watch. I even felt emphatic, seeing the main character vaibhav who hails from a family that can provide him whatever he asks ( not rich, though) comes to Kota in the dream of having his poster in the training center when he cracks the JEE with top ranking who struggles here, not able to cope up with the food and water. Even though he manages eventually when the favorite teacher in the training institute gave him advice on how he can manage. There is also other major characters that you easily like. One of that characters is Meena. A south Indian watching this series may think why the male character is having female character but eventually there is an explanation comes in other episodes. But the character Meena is interesting and the way he smiles when he speaks to his crush makes us laugh and then Uday, comes from well-off family landed in Kota also made me smile. These enjoyable moments comes in Episode 4. I guess they have added a complete comedy package in episode 4 to entertain viewers a little bit as some may think IIT aspirants are not at all having good time. Well, it turned out to be great and indeed an amazing episode. I have talked about episode 4 so much that one may get an idea that other episodes are boring. It might have been boring, if they failed to have Jeetu Bhaiya(favorite and Ex-IITian), Institute owner and PG Aunty who says Vaibhav is like a son in front of his parents but hurls disturbances at him once his parents leave.   

The best part is songs. Yes, songs are pretty good. Some may think why to have songs as there is only five episodes in season 1. Even in movies, nowadays we are not seeing much of songs. But it really worked well. Songs comes with the story so its enjoyable. Gili Gili and Mohabath Zindagi tracks are quite peppy and without my knowledge, I started singing it after watching this series. I even changed my ringtone to Mohabath Zindagi.

I also liked the beauty of shooting this series in black and white. It depicts how dull and boring of IIT Aspirants when they prepare for JEE.

Kota factory is brilliant that it may make you feel like you are in Kota or at least it gives you feel to study something.
