96 Movie Review
"96 - You pay 120 bucks, sit in the reclining seats, wait and witness the Kadhale song. That's it. You feel content.
There is so much to say about "96 and one cannot easily express what this will do to you. Things may settle slowly but once the rhythm sets in, it will be fierce - we can't easily come out from the plot. Even during the interval and post the end, saw the most people sit back in their chair relishing the moments.
There are many interpretations in the movie but I could able to spot only some scenes. To be specific a scene where Janu holds the gear but Ram who was shy all the time now places his hand over her hand bravely, changes the gear which interprets it's not fair and together they both need to move on. Likewise, there is ample of list which if I tell it will be spoiler. This kind of writing makes the screenplay a perfect one.
Through out the movie it was clear that there was competition between Vijay sethupathy and Trisha in terms of acting. If Trisha scores by making her face twinge lightly then VJS becomes the most innocent and plants shyness which envelopes us. VJS without Trisha or Trisha without VJS in the casting would have been the biggest challenge for this movie if one of them turned down the offer. (But the more challenging part was handling this kind of story in a perfect screen play.) They both lived their life as Ram and Janu. If this is not enough then the childhood Ram and Janaki acting was impeccable and immaculate.
Coming to music and cinimatography they nailed it. Every piece of music is pinnacle of the mellifluous. Songs keep loops in mind even after trying to come out of the movie. The mangalyam version proves Govind Menon is genius, I couldn't imagine how he had done a mangalyam chords - it was literally breaking the heart.
There is this guy who says in a speech, "Those who haven't come to this place missed the very pleasant moment in their life". I guess it was pointed at audiences. One should not miss to watch it in theatre. Period.
