Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story Webseries review

Image
Scam 1992 is brilliant in every aspect.  A webseries based on some financial scam that happened in 90s that means in pre-digital era. One could see how much effort one has to put to bring out that 90s period. Kudos to the creator and crew. I think the best thing about the series is screenplay, not even a minute I felt bored and I never thought I would binge-watch this one as it is based on financial fraud. That means there will be many technical details about how the stocks gets processed and how the money market operates and people may easily get bored of hearing all this. It was interesting throughout the last episode.  Casting is brilliant. I don't know anyone can play as Hardhad Mehta except Pratik Gandhi (An actor who appears mainly in Gujarati movies). His acting was immaculate. It felt like he is an actor having fifty years of experience in cine field. Be it the dialogue delivery or the body language, he did wonderful job. The next great performance was by Shreyas Dhanv...

Mirzapur Season 2 Spoiler-Free Review

Image
{No Spoilers from Season 2} Well to cut to the chase, it's not up to the expectations and suffers excruciatingly in comparison with season 1. The problem with season 2 is there is not much of surprise element and when the surprise scene comes, it becomes uninteresting. The new character Robin who is a guy, that does all the illegal investment does not give any significance to the plot either. Twins character was good but in the end, they are wasted too.  At the end of season 1, one cannot easily forgot how Sharad shaves his head(typical yet interesting), it was expected that he will be one among the main characters that will steal the show. Well, he tried to do something in episode 1, he is also becomes boring  just like every other new character . Isha Talwar was mediocre too. Probably the fundamental problem is in writing, plot is very usual and easily predictable and that's why it loses the ability of getting binge-watched.  One thing is clear, Prime team probab...

Putham Pudhu Kalai Movie Review

Image
Amazon Prime's Pudhu Kalai would have been complete waste of time if it didn't had Miracle;the last story in this anthology. I never got an interest to watch this movie in the first place because everyone knows the quality of Amazon Prime original movies. But, later I changed my mind as some people were telling it's about how broken relationships needs to be mend. It's a goood idea, though. But none of the stories except the last one gave me any impact. When the characters cry on the screen, one should at least feel sorry for them but I never got to that point and the back stories were way too shallow. I was never able to feel the story. I felt like they are trying to reinvent the wheel. Old age people falling in love, Patients coming out of Coma, Drug person over coming the drug issues.. Come on, how many times we have to watch this kind of stories.   Even visual-wise also, nothing appealing; no artistic frames and all. Every story almost revolves in the confined house...
